Former Dallas star Victoria Principal is suspected to have undergone cosmetic surgery, after appearing at The International Women's Media Foundation with renewed facial features.

According to the Daily Mail, Miss Principal has repeatedly denied having cosmetic surgery, despite the fact that she was married to a cosmetic surgeon for over 20 years.

However, as she arrived at the media event in Los Angeles this week, the 58-year-old actress was said to have "fuller lips and perfectly smoothed out skin".

Principal could have gained a smoother visage through the use of a professional skin peel or wrinkle-relaxing injections like Botox, whereas plumper lips are often achieved through dermal fillers.

Nevertheless, this has not been confirmed by any official sources.

In the past, Principal has told People Magazine that she has never had plastic surgery. She said: "I've never had a facelift, or a professional peel or lasers."

However, she went on to say: "Do I believe in plastic surgery? Yes... [but] I kind of like the way things are. And although there is a southward shift, it fits me."

Principal first achieved fame in the 1970s and 1980s when she started in popular US drama, Dallas. Today, she is better known as an author of books on diet and exercise, and also markets her own brand of skincare and make-up.

The most common anti-ageing procedures sought after by women in their 50s are facelifts and eye bag removal, while regular Botox injections have also achieved widespread popularity as a line and wrinkle treatment.
