23 October 2012A doctor has explained how laser treatments can be used to improve the appearance of the hands and make the skin appear more youthful. Dr Chytra Anand, who is a specialist dermatologist and member of the European Academy of Dermatology, is due to discuss the matter at the 5th International Congress in Aesthetic, Anti-Aging Medicine & Medical Spa in Dubai between November 23 and 24, AMEinfo.com reports. He said that specialised laser treatments can be used to resurface skin if it is bad condition to reveal newer, healthy tissue that improves the appearance of the hands. Alternatively, Dr Anand noted that fillers can be used to plump up the skin on the hands and replace any lost volume caused by age. He stated that “fine lines give hands a shrivelled look” and fillers can counteract this. The solution works by “volumising the skin on the hand and is also proven to stimulate collagen production and its effects last up to one year”, the expert concluded.
