I'm lucky that I'm still living, says the woman who spent $15,000 on illegal hip injections

A woman has admitted she is lucky to be alive after spending a small fortune on illegal injections in her hips and bottom. Vanity Wonder, a 30-year-old mother-of-two from the US, spent $15 (£9,600) on hundreds of injections to enhance the size of her rear and give her a curvier figure. Appearing on ITV show This Morning, she explained she felt pressured into undergoing the procedures because she was a dancer and had to compete with other women. The injections then became an addiction and even though they were illegal, often leaked and were very painful, Ms Wonder continued to have them until she developed an infection. She then had her bottom padded with silicone instead and admitted she is not happy with the shape, but is thankful to be alive as many women have died from being injected with Fix-A-Flat tyre sealant and cement. ÂTruthfully I would like smaller butt but I'm happy I didn't die and am still here for my children. I did so much dumb stuff with my body I'm lucky that I'm still living, Ms Wonder told presenters Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford. Ms WonderÂs story highlights the importance of only undergoing plastic surgery procedures at a recognised clinic.
