Every surgeon has to keep a logbook of their entire operating record - ask to see it. Do not consider a clinic that is not inspected regularly by the Healthcare Commission. Make sure you've received all your pre and postoperative instructions in writing well before you have your op. Check that your clinic provides a 24-hour professional advice number for you to use after your operation.
