Joint plastic surgery ‘on the rise’
There has been an increase in the number of people opting to undergo plastic surgery at the same time as their partner or a loved one. The Huffington Post reports that the American Academy of Facial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery noted a significant rise in the number of patients having surgery at the same time as their partner. Many mothers and daughters are also choosing to go under the knife at the same time. Lynda, 65, and her 38-year-old daughter Stefanie appeared on Good Morning America because they both decided to have surgery. While Lynda had a neck tuck and cheek fillers, Stefanie had a breast lift and tummy tuck. Their surgeon, Dr Pete Fodor of Los Angeles, believes joint surgery is a great idea. “I love it... the patients who start with a supportive relationship, they really help each other and I welcome that,” he stated.
