Lines and wrinkles are star of Scottish play

Botox is set to be the star of a play being performed at the Greenock Arts Guild in Scotland from March 1. ‘Big Pants and Botox’, a play written by Louise Roche, author of ‘Girls’ Night’, attracted critical acclaim when it went on tour last year, and is set to continue its run of success well into 2012.Starring Rebecca Wheatley, star of BBC One television drama Casualty, ‘Big Pants and Botox’ is a one-woman show that tells the story of Barbra and the emotional and physical changes she experiences when turning 50. These experiences include changes in the choice of clothing and the pressure to look younger that women of a certain age feel they have to contend with. The play is based on a true story and talks about everything from piles and prolapses, to incontinence, in a play that has been hailed as humorous and poignant by those who saw it in 2011. The play is said to be ultimately uplifting, as well as intriguing and funny – one to watch for women of all ages.See the original story here
