How far would you go to fight off the signs of ageing? Sherrie Hewson, TV presenter and ‘Benidorm’ actress has taken the bold step to undergo a Wide-Awake Facial despite a severe allergic reaction to a general anaesthetic which almost killed her two months ago.

The actress suffered convulsions just moments after being given the anaesthetic at a Cosmetic Surgery clinic in Spain, yet she is so determined to banish her wrinkles that she underwent to wide-awake procedure just months later.

“I was very nervous, really quite scared” Sherrie admits “I shut my eyes because I didn’t want to see what was coming towards my face.

But the actresses’ bravery has paid off and she’s delighted with the results of the procedure. “It’s just very, very natural… Having this procedure has really sold non-invasive treatments to me. I think it’s the future – if I want anything else done this is the way I’ll do it, no question”

Sherrie’s face was covered in numbing cream before the procedure which began with tiny stitches being made and threads being injected into the face to tighten and lift her skin. Next blood from Sherrie’s arm was injected into her face to encourage the skin cells to regenerate. Lastly, a Dermal Roller was used – this micro needling technique stimulates the body’s natural healing processes to improve tone and texture of the skin, as well as boosting collagen production.
