More men opting for advanced skin care and Non Surgical Cosmetic Treatments

With the Rugby World Cup starting today we’re taking a look at male beauty routines and the recent increase in men opting for Non Surgical Treatments to enhance their appearance.

Beauty and skin care are no longer solely a female concern, with an increasing number of men undergoing treatments like Dermal Fillers and Laser Hair Removal to slow signs of ageing and help them look their best. As their name suggests, Dermal Fillers will fill out lines and wrinkles, leaving a smoother, younger looking complexion. While Laser Hair Removal offers a permanent reduction in unwanted hair growth.

As one Cosmetic Surgeon reports, “I have seen a 30 to 35% increase in the number of men coming for advanced Non Surgical Treatments such as Laser Hair Removal, Hair Transplant, Botox and Juvederm Fillers. Men in their late 30s, 40s and 50s want to look younger and for many it’s the need to look fresh and young at the workplace.”

It can be the case that having reached a certain age, often married and had children, men focus less and less on themselves. But this is a trend which seems to be changing, “the last couple of years have seen a surge in not just the number of men but the widening age group… to men in their 60s, everyone is looking for ways to look good. Most want tattoos removed too. Also a lot of men are single again with high disposable incomes” the Surgeon continued.
