Nearly 40% of cosmetics patients are men
23 January 2012In India, nearly 40 per cent of cosmetics patients are now men, reflecting a trend that is being seen across the world, particularly when it comes to non-surgical treatments such as Botox. Those running cosmetic surgery clinics in Ahmedabad are expecting to see business from male clientele double, with more and more seeking a more youthful appearance with the help of Botox and dermal fillers.“The number of men seeking Botox treatment, dermal fillers and dimple creation surgery is definitely on the rise. This has been particularly so in the last year or so,” said plastic surgeon Dr Kamal Porwal. Dr Porwal says his male patients are usually either in their 20s, or around 45 years old.
