Plastic surgeons comment on Portia de RossiÂ’s alleged cosmetic surgery
29 May 2013Arrested Development star Portia de Rossi has been the subject of widespread speculation after returning to the screen last weekend. The 40-year-old reprised her role as Lindsay Fünke in the cult TV show but according to some, looked markedly different to previous seasons, sparking rumours of plastic surgery.Plastic surgeons in the US have been commenting on the speculation, most saying they believe she has undergone some form of nose reconstruction. The smoothness of her forehead has also led many to believe she has received Botox or filler injections. Californian surgeon Dr Edward P. Miranda told Hollywoodlife.com: “It appears that Portia underwent nasal tip reconstruction. Her nose used to point downward and you can clearly see it is now upturned. She also may have had blepharoplasty [eyelid surgery] to make her eyes appear wider. “Lastly, she definitely appears to have Botox injections [judging by her perfectly smooth forehead] and filler injections to the border of her upper lip.” Dr Theodore Diktaban, one of New York’s top plastic surgeons, echoed these sentiments, adding: “The most obvious thing for sure, is that she had her nose done. There’s no doubt about it. The position of the tip has definitely changed. “There is a possibility she had some facial fillers for more fullness. It’s hard to tell if she had Botox because I’m looking at a still picture. She also may have had something done to her lower eyelids.” Portia de Rossi has not yet commented on the speculation.
