Refreshed skin for summer

After all the rain, wind and snow we've had this winter, it's about time the sun started peeking out. And with March now well underway, I've started to think about getting into shape for the summer. I'm sure we're all dreaming of the hotter months and what we'll get up to. Leisurely lunches in beer gardens, weekend picnics in parks, and my absolute favourite - days at the beach. And with beaches comes the bikini - uh oh! As always happens, I've spent so much time under layer after layer this winter that I've forgotten all about taking care of myself. But the summer sun leaves little to the imagination so I'm planning to step up my beauty routine in the hope that the sun will step up its efforts too!The thought of slipping into summer dresses and sarongs is a great incentive to get fit and healthy too, as well as the physical benefits of great health and exercise. And some people find that a little nudge helps them look really fantastic. Your skin should be glowing after a while at the gym but you can make it really special by getting a treatment like a skin peel - many of my friends have done it and they're always the envy of everyone else when they emerge with smooth, gorgeous, glowing skin in time for summer. You want to look after your skin as it is such a tell tale sign of your age and lifestyle. So it's also best to invest in a good suncreen too if you want to keep your skin fresh and rejuvenated - such as the AgeraRx Ultimate Performing Sunscreen SPF 25 - a little favourite of mine, and an essential for after a skin peel as it's a little more sensitive to things like sunlight straight after a treatment. Here at Harley we've got a brand new treatment I'm looking forward to trying out - the Obagi Skin Peel. This is a great peel that is ideal for getting rid of blemishes, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and sun damage - I've booked myself a session with one of the doctors for next week and I can't wait. It's a great non surgical solution for tired, dull-looking skin that's crept up during the miserable winter months- because sometimes even the gym and plenty of fruit can't remedy that. They certainly help though! Too bad there isn't chocolate flavoured fruit...
