03 April 2009Phew. It's been a busy couple of weeks for me and it looks like it's only about to get busier. One of my friends from high school has just announced that she's getting married at the end of the summer! She's been with her boyfriend for years and years, so we've all been half expecting them to announce their engagement. None of us thought it would be such a short one though. And the speedy wedding plans have not impressed the mother of the bride, because she'd always said she'd planned to have a face lift before her daughters big day! Obviously she thought she wouldn't be thinking about it for another few years. The good news is that there are plenty of non invasive treatments that don't require much healing time and are a cheaper alternative to a full lift. My mum and hers haven't seen each other in years and years, but we're all going to meet up for lunch with my friend and her mum so they can chat about the wedding and so I can fill her in on line and wrinkle treatments like Botox and skin peels. My mum's also keen to tell her all about the mini-treatments I got her for Mother's Day. I'm just waiting for the call from the bridesmaids too! But I don't mind at all - in fact, I love being able to let people know about new treatments and cosmetic surgery developments. As long as somebody else organises the hen night!
