Scottish surgeons join forces against cosmetic cowboys
26 September 2011A group of cosmetic surgeons from Scotland has warned people considering an operation not to be taken in by cheap treatments. According to a report by the Scottish Sun, the 10 experts decided to come together and formed Confidence Cosmetic Surgery due to the number of stories of patients suffering problems during and after surgery. The surgeons have over 100 years of experience between them and are familiar with all aspects of cosmetic surgery, including nose jobs and breast augmentation. Medical director Stephen Morley said cheap operations might seem attractive, but that putting purse strings before your health could end up being unpleasantly costly. He said: "There are now over 100,000 cosmetic ops each year with a growing number being carried out overseas. "Too often people are attracted by cheap prices abroad without knowing who is going to operate on them or what the eventual costs might be."
