Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Rice had Rhinoplasty surgery 12 months ago – and she hasn’t stopped talking about the vast improvement it has made to her life.

Although friends and family had initially suggested she keep quiet about her surgery, Stephanie was so happy with the results that she chose to go public, much to the happiness of her fans who showered her with support.

The 26-year-old said: “Looking back I’m so glad I didn’t keep it hush hush and rather owned my decision, one because there is no better feeling than owning your decisions and feeling empowered, and two because speaking out about it has allowed me to guide others who are in the same position I was.”

Stephanie underwent Rhinoplasty surgery after having broken her nose as a teenager. The accident left her with sinus issues and shattered her self-confidence.

“It was always something I knew I would do. It was not a question of if, but of when.

“Seeing the better version of my nose made me realise how much it had been affecting me.

“Everyone will have an opinion, and what I’ve learnt over the years is that you can’t do things to please people. I love the result.”
