Supermodel Kate Upton talks diet and beauty regime

When you appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, that’s when you know you’ve made it. But what’s the secret behind featuring on the front of one of the world’s most esteemed sports titles not once – but twice? Keeping to a strict health and beauty regime, Kate Upton style. A household name, the 21-year-old supermodel has looks many would be jealous of – but Upton admitted that she gets a lot of help from professional skincare treatments, as she has a bad habit of picking at her face. “I have a problem; I pick my face!” Upton confessed to Marie Claire. “I can’t leave it alone and it gets to the point where I need a professional to take over.” The supermodel is a big fan of Microdermabrasion treatments. But maintaining a flawless appearance isn’t just down to her beauty routine – having a healthy diet and adhering to a regular workout schedule plays a major role in the looks department. “I love going to the gym,” admits Upton. “I try to go three times a week. I live a very stressful lifestyle, so it’s good for me to work all that stress out.” Upton’s trainer, David Kirsch, told Elle that she follows a strict workout plan – while Upton said that she enjoys healthy foods as they make her feel and look on top form. “I’m lucky because I genuinely prefer healthy treats like shakes, smoothies and juices,” Upton said. “I feel better when I’m drinking them; my body feels better and I’m more awake.” If that’s what it takes to look like a supermodel, we’ll gladly indulge in shakes, smoothies and juices galore!
