Surgeon endorses variety of anti-aging treatments available
29 April 2013A recent report into the options available to help treat loose skin and wrinkles has been praised by a Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon as demonstrating that such treatments can be used to tackle even minor forms of these conditions. "I agree with the old adage 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," says Dr Simon Ourian, the medical director of a cosmetic surgery practice in Beverly Hills, California. For this reason, he urges anyone who is conscious of the effects of exposure to the sun on their skin to always wear a sunscreen product whenever they venture outside. But, he adds, when people want to go one step further and reduce the signs of sun exposure, a wide variety of injections, creams and surgical treatments are available for the purpose. "Those who have the means can undergo a wide variety of injections, treatments and surgeries to reverse the visual signs of aging," Dr Ourian says. "Meanwhile, those on a tighter budget can look to peptide and retinoid preparations," he also suggests. He also says that microdermabrasion and chemical peels are viable options for treating the effects of sun exposure in the short term.
