Susan Sarandon says women should be free to choose cosmetic surgery
10 December 2009Hollywood star Susan Sarandon has voiced her support for women to have the freedom to choose cosmetic surgery if they want it. At a recent premiere, the 63-year-old actress said: "Iím an advocate of women doing whatever they want to do for themselves. Women should have control over their bodies to do whatever they want to do. Some people have better taste than others."Make Me Heal speculates that Susan may have gone under the knife herself, but if so, she has achieved a very natural result from her plastic surgery. According to plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer, the star has likely undergone a face lift. He explained: "In the photos it is unclear if Susan Sarandon has had surgery. However, she does have signs of facelift surgery. She looks great and has not changed over the years." However, surgeon Paul S Nassif believes Susan may not have undergone invasive surgery, but only opted for non surgical treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers to hold back the years. The rhinoplasty specialist explained: "There is a possibility Susan Sarandon may have had Botox and fillers but does not appear to have had any major surgery done to her face. She looks very natural for her age, and whether or not she could use any work is strictly a personal preference." Susan Sarandon's Hollywood career is still going strong into her sixties, and the star can next be seen in The Lovely Bones, which hits cinemas in January.
