The New Year beauty resolutions your skin will thank you for making

New Year, new me. How many of you have vowed to make 2016 the year you invest in proper Skin Care and get your skin looking glowing and flawless? For those of you who have (and those who are yet to make any resolutions), here are some you’ll definitely want to try this year.
Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise
From central heating to harsh weather conditions, not to mention UV rays and pollution, it’s easy for your skin to dry out. Keep it soft, smooth and supple by moisturising day and night.
Research shows that cleansing twice will ensure the subsequent products you apply to skin will work twice as hard. Cleanse once to remove the build-up of dirt, grime and bacteria, as well as makeup. Cleanse twice to soften skin and clean your pores.
Invest in lip balm
Whether you’re sunning yourself on a beach, battling through the cold, windy weather on your daily commute, or sitting in an air-conditioned office all day, there’s a high chance your lips will bear the brunt of it. If your lips are looking a little chapped, try upping your intake of water and applying lip balm often throughout the day.
Book regular facials
In addition to your DIY beauty, it’s wise to seek help from the experts. Book yourself in for a facial to help you better understand your skin. Not only will these treatments restore your skin to its full health, you’ll also pick up plenty of advice along the way for use at home.
Wash your makeup brushes
Brushes harbour bad bacteria if left unwashed, which means you’re not only transferring that bad bacteria onto your skin, but you’re also at risk of unwanted breakouts. Aim to wash your makeup brushes once a month using a gentle shampoo then leave to dry naturally.
