Timing your cosmetic treatments right
15 September 2010One thing I always want to remind people of when they're booking their cosmetic treatments is timing - you really do have to get the timing right for some things! For example, I've seen women who want to have a boob job before their wedding, but they don't come and see us until a month before the ceremony. As you may have guessed, that doesn't leave anywhere near enough time for you to have a consultation, be booked in for your treatment and then recover afterwards! When you're thinking about having any treatment, it's a very good idea to find out how long it will take and if there any times that are particularly suited to the specific treatment. Laser hair removal is another really good example of this. As it takes several treatments to achieve the best results, it's a good idea to start your course of treatments a good few months before summer. Timing is also important for laser hair removal when it comes to your skin tone, as we often have to wait until heavy tans or fake tanning products have faded before being able to carry out the treatment. The most important thing to remember is that all treatments are different. While you'll be able to return to work straight after Botox injections without any problems, you'll find it's a different story when it comes to more invasive and long-lasting procedures, such as face lifts. Obviously, you can't be expected to know all these different timelines off by heart, that's why we're here to help! If you're considering any cosmetic treatments at all, book a free consultation with one of our Nurse Counsellors and we'll be able to let you know whether you've got your timing right or if you need to adjust your expectations a little. Either way, we'll be able to suggest ways for you to achieve the results you're looking for, as close to the timeline you were hoping for as possible.
