Tips for great looking skin the morning after a big night out
Tis the season to be…partying! With many a Christmas night out to celebrate, it’s fair to say that December is an extremely busy time – which is good news for our social calendar, but can take its toll on our health and beauty. So what can we do to ensure we look our best this festive period?
Not removing last night’s makeup is probably the worst beauty offence a girl can commit – as not only does this leave your skin dehydrated, but also congested. To effectively remove any makeup, double cleanse using a non-rinse makeup remover then apply a gentle cream cleanser. Simply soak a cotton pad with micellar water, then gently work into the skin to lift any makeup – followed by massaging cream cleanser into your face to increase your skin’s circulation, removing any bits of makeup you have missed.
Next, take some eye cream and be extremely delicate when applying to the eye area – as the skin is particularly fragile around this part, gently dab and don’t tug (this will only aggravate your skin). Once your skin is moisturised and hydrated, try not to put too much stress on your skin – use makeup with light-diffusing elements to give a healthy, glowing complexion.
Lastly, remember to stay hydrated – which means saying no to any fizzy drinks and coffee, and having at least one litre of warm water added with a slice of lemon to help rid your body of toxins.
