It’s the start of a brand new year, and if you’re thinking about making any resolutions in 2015, make this year all about improving your skin. Here are some top tips to get your skin looking fabulous this year:

  • Always wear sunscreen

You may think it’s only good for your holidays but science has proven that if you wear sunscreen all year-round, your skin will retain its healthy, youthful qualities. Aim for a formula that contains at least SPF30 (sun protection factor).

  • Moisturise daily

Banish dry skin this year by moisturising daily. The best time of day to apply your cream is straight after a shower while your skin is still damp – this ensures as much moisture as possible is locked in, keeping your skin silky smooth and looking amazing.

  • Use an exfoliator

Many of us exfoliate our legs – but what about our faces? Get your hands on a gentle scrub and apply it once a week to rid your skin of dead skin cells and restore its radiance. Just be sure to moisturise afterwards.

  • Resist the urge to squeeze

It can be oh so tempting to pick at a spot but many people forget just how much dirt and bacteria lie on hands. By touching your face constantly, this dirt and bacteria can transfer to your face, clogging your pores and causing more spots.

  • Drink plenty of water

For an easy glow, simply ensure you drink sufficient water throughout the day. Not only does it help to flush out toxins, it also promotes a better circulation – so you can have a natural rosy glow in no time.
