Tummy tuck could be the only answer for those people who suffer with loose skin around the midriff, after weight loss or due to hereditary factors. This is according to Dr W Miles, a plastic surgeon practicing in America, who explained that excess skin and fat around the midriff can unfortunately be a very common problem for many people usually either after pregnancy or in individuals who lose a large amount of weight in a short time, including gastric bypass patients. This occurrence can also be hereditary, and many people find that no amount of exercise or dieting will lose the excess weight.Dr Miles went on to say that there is, however, hope, in a procedure called abdominoplasty, more commonly known as a tummy tuck. This is a surgical operation which creates a firmer, flatter stomach by removing excess fat and skin from the lower and middle abdomen, giving you a base on which to build fitter ab muscles. However, as with all surgeries, before you consider a tummy tuck, you should find out whether or not the procedure is the right option for you. This procedure is best recommended for individuals who are not likely to have any more children or lose any more weight. This could be the correct procedure for patients who maintain a healthy eating and exercise regime and a balanced diet.
