Turn back the clock with these beauty superfoods

You’re likely to be familiar with the phrase ‘you are what you eat’ – but how much truth does this statement really hold? Well, as it happens, a lot. That’s because what you eat and drink directly impacts the appearance of your skin, nails and hair.
Eat enough of the right foods and you’ll notice a positive impact in the condition of all three. With that in mind, let’s look at how you can stave off premature ageing with the help of superfoods.
Good for: anti-ageing
Rich in vitamin C and packed with flavonoids, blueberries are the ideal snack for keeping those unwanted wrinkles at bay. They work by supplying your skin with lots of oxygen and neutralising the damaging free radicals, leaving it supple and smoother for longer.
Good for: dry skin
Just one avocado contains around 28g of fat, so eating this fruit regularly helps moisturise dry skin and prevent wrinkles from forming. Rich in monounsaturated oils, avocados are also useful for reducing inflamed skin such as Acne or Eczema.
Good for: banishing cellulite
Around 95 per cent of women suffer from cellulite on their bottom or thighs, but eating kiwi fruit can help to reduce the appearance of the ‘orange peel’ skin. That’s because kiwis contain vitamin C, which strengthens skin’s capillaries, supplying the skin with plenty of plumping oxygen.
Good for: preventing grey hair
Prolong the inevitable grey hairs by snacking on walnuts. They contain copper which helps to produce melanin, the pigment that gives hair its natural colour. Melanin also thickens your hair and leaves it looking shiny so it’s a great way to ensure your hair always looks in tip top condition.
