Twiggy opens the door to plastic surgery
Twiggy has revealed she would not rule out going under the knife in order to keep herself looking as youthful as possible. The 63-year-old model has not had any work done yet, but told Good Housekeeping magazine she may consider it in the future. She also claimed to be wary of diets that “deprive you of the things you love”. “I don’t think diets work,” she said. “I’ve been fascinated recently by the fasting diet, though. My downfall is crisps and bread. If I eat bread every day for a week, I can feel it around my tummy. So if I stop for a week, I can really feel the difference.” Twiggy became the face of London fashion after becoming a model in 1966, aged 16. She remains influential today and the so-called ‘Twiggy-effect’ is believed to have inspired women in their 60s and 70s to dress more stylishly. She has designed a line of clothing for Marks and Spencer as well as a range called Twiggy London, which is sold on a US shopping channel and managed by her husband, Leigh Lawson.
