A plastic surgeon has discussed the ins and outs of rhinoplasty, and exactly what happens when patients undergo a nose job. Speaking to, Dr Debraj Shome explained there are two main types of rhinoplasty open and closed. The surgeon will decide which of these best suits the patient.While an open rhinoplasty involves the surgeon going in through the base of the nose to make changes, a closed operation is performed from inside the nose. Dr Shome explained that some of the most common procedures are making the nose look more pert by shortening it and making the tip point upwards slightly, as well as thinning out the bridge of the nose so it looks smaller. The procedure is very safe and predictable and the final results can be seen within six weeks to three months, the expert continued. Read the full story here:
