When exactly should you get Botox?
30 November 2015
Botox is an effective solution for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles – but how soon should you get it? Is it better to wait until you start to develop wrinkles or should you get it as a preventative method to prolong your youthful skin?
According to the experts, Botox can be used as a preventative solution to lines and wrinkles – but for it to be effective, it needs to be maintained. As the effects of Botox are only temporary (lasting around four to six months), top up treatments are required to really stave off those lines and wrinkles.
So how does it work? Botox helps to relax your contracted facial muscles, preventing wrinkles and fine lines from forming, as well as reducing the appearance of those already formed – restoring a youthful look to the user.
As mentioned above, you’ll need top up treatments every four to six months as this solution naturally breaks down. Over time however, the number of treatments you require will lessen as your facial muscles will be re-educated.
So there you have it – the popular line and wrinkle treatment can be used as both a preventative and wrinkle-reducing solution.
