Audrey Hepburn named most beautiful woman of all time
A recent survey into the most beautiful woman of all time has seen Audrey Hepburn take the top spot. Closely following her were Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly who took second and third place respectively.
Modern day celebrities also made the list, with the likes of Beyoncé, Kate Moss and Scarlett Johansson featuring in the top ten.
So what is it that made the Hollywood beauties of yesteryear stand out against the women of today? Respondents to the survey cited confidence and being in love as two major factors which affect beauty, with the former gaining 68 per cent of votes and the latter 57 per cent.
The survey also found that women aged 55 plus rely on exercise and a healthy diet to keep them looking young and beautiful, whereas 20 per cent of those aged 18 to 24 admit to feeling more beautiful when they are wearing a lot of makeup.
When it came to discussing beauty around the world, Brits ranked themselves as the most beautiful, ahead of women in Sweden, Brazil, Spain and France.
