Clinical Excellence

When it comes to choosing a cosmetic surgery provider, we want you to be fully informed. Our business is founded on caring for you, from your very first enquiry through to your aftercare. We want to be a trusted partner and to really understand your unique needs, we recognise that cosmetic surgery is one of the most important decisions you're ever likely to make, therefore, you need to be sure it's right for you.

Our commitment to clinical excellence can be seen through our enhanced care standards, which have been rolled out across all of our clinics and teams, to ensure the very best practice and care is taken.

Our Chief Medical Officer, Mr. T K Sankar is responsible for overseeing clinical excellence in all of our clinics.

Surgeons

All medical specialist consultants, surgeons and doctors who work with The Harley Medical Group are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and are on the Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons. All undertake annual appraisals and most hold substantive posts within the NHS. The posts within the NHS are not limited to cosmetic procedures and include oncology (cancer treatments), gynecology, dermatology, and more.

The General Medical Council helps protect patients and improve UK medical education and practice by supporting students, doctors, educators, and healthcare providers. All our medical experts have their GMC number listed on their profiles for our clients’ reference.

As well as having memberships with the compulsory medical and healthcare regulators in the UK, all our surgical specialists have additional memberships, above and beyond these requirements. These include the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (EBOPRAS), the Royal College of Surgeons, the Medical Defence Union (MDU), The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and more.

Nurses

Alongside our medical and Cosmetic Consultants, our nurses are all registered and validated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The NMC is the nursing regulator for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. All our nurses are experienced and trained in their cosmetic specialties.

Clinical Governance Team

Our clinical governance team consists of medical experts and operational leaders from across our group. The group meets regularly to discuss clinical excellence, clinical governance, surgeon performance, patient satisfaction, and the introduction of new treatments.

Each new consultant or treatment we introduce to the business is thoroughly reviewed.

Registered with the Care Quality Commission

All independent healthcare providers must be registered with the appropriate regulatory body and able to demonstrate their compliance to exacting standards and set outcomes.

LCHMG. trading as 'The Harley Medical Group' is regulated under the following regulatory bodies:

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) for England (provider ID 1-8062455670).

The Harley Medical Group adheres strictly to the clinical governance criteria set out by the regulatory body above, under the responsibility of the Nominated Individual (NI), and this is reflected not only in the service that we provide to our patients but also in our exemplary regulatory record.

Breast Safety Charter

Our Breast Safety Charter covers our comprehensive care from pre to post-appointment. We only use Mentor Breast implants, which are owned by Johnson & Johnson, are US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved, and come with a 10-year warranty.

The charter also outlines the use of our Keller Funnel technique, which limits hand contact during a breast augmentation procedure. This reduces the chance of infection, requires smaller incisions, and can lead to shorter recovery times.
