The male guide to grooming
19 January 2015
It’s thought that well-groomed men are generally more successful – be it in their career or outside of work. So to help you get ahead of the game when it comes to grooming, follow these top tips.
- Invest in a moisturiser
It’s recommended to apply moisturiser day and night to help stave off premature lines and wrinkles.
- Throw away old products
Like food, skin care also has a shelf life so rather than hanging onto that two-year-old bottle of shaving balm, throw it away and invest in a new one.
- Less is more when it comes to aftershave
While wearing your favourite aftershave can boost your confidence levels, it can also put others off. Stick to the less is more approach for day-long confidence.
- Shave your beard
Studies show that women prefer a clean-shaven man but the modern day male has no time to shave daily. Keep an electric shaver in your office desk drawer for instant grooming.
- Always wear sunscreen
Thought that sunscreen was just for the beach? Avoid premature ageing by slapping it on daily. Don’t forget - the sun’s harmful UV rays can penetrate the skin even on a cloudy day so don’t leave home without applying yours.
