HOW DOES Laser Hair Removal WORK?
Our permanent hair removal treatment is perfect for those who desire smooth, hairless skin, but who don’t have time for constant shaving and waxing.
At Harley Medical, we pride ourselves on our ability to treat all skin types. To this end, we conduct a melanin check before any procedures take place; this ensures each treatment is tailored to the individual skin types of our patients. Some of the most popular skin areas that we treat with laser hair removal include the legs, the upper lip and armpits.

HOW MANY SESSIONS will you NEED?
For laser hair removal to be as effective as possible, it should be carried out when the hair follicles are actively growing - which is known as the anagen phase.
Usually, four to eight sessions are recommended, but this depends on the area being treated, with a one to two month interval in between. This is in order to ensure that we capture each hair in its active growth stage as each individual hair begins its cycle at a different time.
The treatment targets the pigment in eachhair, instead of the skin. The laser travels down into the hair follicle itself to ensure that the removal is permanent, in a process called selective photothermolysis.
